Barnaby Joyce Is Having An Aggressively Normal One

Barnaby Joyce

New England MP Barnaby Joyce appears to be having an aggressively normal one, taking to Facebook to announce:

C Mckenzie fm I

I I ik99 I n l

N opt.

MJ Mm kill. Hi k. V. V. Cc. CmM

I m6’j yet

Ok o

Ok no mm b CM

Much to think about there, for sure. The comments were made on a live video of the Nationals MP driving through the town of Bingara while touting the government’s drought assistance program.

He later added:

T

Szccf. M c. C. Barnaby I onc. Ccc.

. KScc czzz. 7

H C I m

Surprisingly coherent stuff from Barnaby Joyce. Dropping a Michael Scott gif, the MP continued:

Bcc. Vvvvv

I fed to. V I op.

A O v me. In vvvvvv vv

Wise words indeed.

Unrelated to this nonsense, Barnaby Joyce faced questions this week over the recent purchase of shares in an up-and-coming space company on behalf of his young son.

Rural affairs reporter Jamieson Murphy was the first to notice the purchase:

It seems Joyce questioned executives from Electro Optic Systems at a public hearing in Canberra on February 26, and his partner later purchased shares in the company in a trust for their young son.

This week, EOS announced a major breakthrough in laser technology, which “significantly advances the global effort to mitigate space debris”, sending their share price temporarily up.

Barnaby Joyce told The Guardian Australia that he received “no insider information whatsoever” from company executives prior to the purchase, and that he knew nothing of the coming breakthrough.

He said the decision to purchase the shares was made on the basis that EOS seemed like “decent people”, and their shares appeared to be trading up.

A representative for the company says that it did not have any private meetings with the MP and did not provide any information to him regarding its coming breakthrough.
