Aussie Doctor Working With ISIS Has “No Concern” If Passport Is Cancelled

Last week, Federal Police obtained an arrest warrant for Tareq Kamleh, the 29-year-old Australian doctor who is currently supporting Islamic State militants in Syria.

As a result of the warrant, Kamleh can be arrested as soon as he returns to Australia. In a recent Facebook post, however, he indicated that he no longer considers himself an Australian citizen, and does not care about the consequences facing him.
“I have no concern if you cancel my passport. I knew where I was coming,” said Kamleh, indicating that he has no plans to return to Australia. “I intend to stay here.”
“I anticipated an arrest warrant, hence why I left in secret,” he continued, claiming that “injustice” in the Australian judicial system. “Do as you please, I no longer consider myself an Australian.”
A search of the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency’s database reveals that Kamleh is still registered to practice in Australia, with Subiaco, WA, as his principal place of practice.
His registration, however, expires in September, and the AHRPA have indicated that he is currently under investigation by the Medical Board of Australia, but have not commented further.
Kamleh has also indicated that he has “no concern” if his medical registration is cancelled.
Former colleagues have accused Kamleh of being a “sexual predator” during his time as an intern, which he has denied, saying that he has never taken part in any “unprofessional conduct.”
