The fake news media is absolutely committed to lying to you about the size of spiders. The corrupt liberal press will tell you that a spider is incredibly large, when it is in fact normal sized and not large at all.
That’s what’s happening over in the merry land of the USA, which is generally bereft of large spiders. A woman from the Detroit suburbs found an Australian huntsman spider in her son’s room this week and promptly flipped the fuck out. It’s now a news story, for some reason.
She initially posted the remarkably normal-sized huntsman on Facebook – which became a news story for reasons I can scarcely fathom. Sure, it’s pretty large compared to, like, an ant I guess.
She took it to an ‘expert’ – which turned out to be a guy who worked at the local pet store – who confirmed what it was, according to ABC2. “Australian Huntsman Spider, which would be one of the largest spiders in the world, but completely harmless, outside of an allergic reaction to it’s venom,” said Randy John Lee, an employee at Pets & Things.
“It shouldn’t be here, it probably came in on a tropical plant,” said Lee. ABC2 reported breathlessly that “the spider is not native to Michigan or even this continent”.
Now it is time to smugly bask in the fact that we, as a nation, know exactly what a huntsman looks like and can confidently say that its ‘not even that fuckin’ big mate’.
