The Wiggles have proven they can teach children to do just about anything, from mashing potatoes to the correct on-road operation of a big red car. Their latest tune, however, teaches young guns the most important life skill of all: how to successfully drop turds into a toilet.

The Toilet Song, released last week, immediately challenges listeners to stay seated on their porcelain thrones for a full two minutes. In that time frame, the legendary entertainers gently encourage their audience to explore the options before them.
“Now you’re sitting on the toilet / you can do a wee or a poo,” they sing, above a synth bass line which sounds suspiciously like roiling guts. If the producers deliberately included that squelching frequency on the track to mask the real-life sounds emanating from the loo, well, kudos to them.
Stunningly, this is the first song directly discussing the issue. Speaking to Sunrise this morning, OG Wiggle Anthony Field said the group has been asked for nearly 30 years to produce a song about potty training.
It will take a while to judge whether this tune slots its way into the pantheon of Wiggles classics, but you could pretty reasonably expect it not to make the setlist at any of the band’s legendary 18+ gigs.
