As far as we can tell, there are three ways to take the rumours Drake and Taylor Swift are dating:
- As unadulterated nonsense first peddled by an unnamed source to the New York Times’ Page Six gossip section;
- As a wholly cynical career move for both parties, with the end goal of wresting pop-cultural power away from KimYe Game Of Thrones-style;
- As a legitimately burgeoning relationship between two hugely famous musos whose circles undoubtedly cross.
A new Instagram post from the Champagne Papi himself doesn’t necessarily clear the whole thing up – but it does prove that, my God, the pair have indeed been spending time together in matchy-matchy outfits:
We don’t know dude, is it velvet? Are you two an item? Will you give Aubrih Stans the closure they so dearly deserve? Can we expect the most froth-worthy mixtape of the decade out of this unexpected union? WE NEED ANSWERS, GUYS.
Until we wait for confirmation, some very lazy sleuthing seems to be in order. A post to Swift’s account a week ago shows her in what appears to be the same get-up, right around the time that NYT source claimed “the only person he spent more time with [at his 30th birthday bash] other than his mom was Taylor.”
Just sort us out, guys.
