When life closes a James Packer and Mariah Carey, it opens a Drake and Taylor Swift – this is according to multiple reports out of the U.S. that two of the most powerful forces in music might have merged their respective personal brands into one all-powerful super-brand.
An unnamed source – god, how we love those – spoke to the New York Times‘ Page Six, and said that the pair shared a booth at Drake’s recent 30th birthday party, where they were “intimately flirting, talking closely and laughing” all night.
The source then went on to say: “The only person he spent more time with other than his mom was Taylor.” You guys, meeting the maternal unit is a classic Taylor Swift dating manoeuvre, so this could potentially be big.
A separate source said that the pair were “cozy” all night long, adding: “They were all up on each other – no kissing – but touching each and other and cheeking.”
Until recently, Drake was dating Rihanna, who frequently collaborates with Calvin Harris, who wrote ‘This Is What You Came For‘ with his then-girlfriend Tay-Tay, who swallowed the spider to catch the goddamn fly. We think we will actually, literally die.
Taylor Swift has not commented on the matter because she doesn’t have to because she’s Taylor Swift, and though it’s only speculation at this point, we sincerely wish this hypothetical happy couple all the best.
