After three years, we’ve finally got it: another Lorde single. Praise be. It crash landed right on our laps this morning, with a full album to follow in the winter.
It’s a piano-driven big bouncer by name of Green Light – and you can almost guarantee that this will not be the last time you hear it reverberating around your skull. It’s a bigger and fuller sound than Lorde’s previous efforts. It actually has a bit of a complex structure – with its long intro, ballady verses and choppy, dancy chorus.

The song dropped on Lorde’s new domain www.imwaitingforit.com, which was teased extensively over the past week or so. Nothing like a teaser site to send fans into conniptions. The new album will be called Melodrama, as per a post on her Instagram.
