Watch Kanye West’s “Monster” Video In Full

There’s no doubt about it Kanye West‘s “Monster” is a fascinating track. It’s an angry satirical self-critique about Kanye’s egomania and the pitfalls of success presented as a club banger with arguably the best rap verse of 2010 (Nicki Minaj‘s blood chilling guest spot). At one point another of the track’s many guest vocalists Jay-Z raps “All I see is these fake fucks with no fangs / Tryna draw blood with my ice cold veins / I smell a massacre / Seems to be the only way to back you bastards up”, a sentiment which Kanye parodies in the just-dropped full length cut of the song’s clip (below).

The video, helmed by English director Jake Nava (“Crazy in Love”), is a beautiful dark twisted fantasy: models’ corpses, S&M, beheadings, necrophilia, monstrous beauties attacking Kanye… It’s all a big metaphor for the monster that is fame (as previously referenced by Lady Gaga), but the impact of the video is reduced by a cop out disclaimer at the start entirely undermining of the audience which reads: The following content is in no way to be interpreted as misogynistic or negative towards any groups of people. It is an art piece and shall be taken as such.

Watch and enjoy, but DO NOT INTERPRET THE FOLLOWING CONTENT AS MISOGYNISTIC OR NEGATIVE TOWARD ANYONE AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW THIS IS ART YOU ARE AN EFFING RETARD.
