WATCH: Flume Gets All Misty-Eyed, Shares Vid Of First Ever Splendour Set

It’s been a big couple of years for Flume, otherwise known as Harley Streten, otherwise known as the young Aussie whose music is damn-near inescapable right now.
Stretten recently went deep on hitting the perks of fame too hard, and the pressure he felt to produce a follow-up to his wildly successful first album, that led him to a period of writers’ block.
He’s through all that now, and will be capping off the weekend-long bender that is Splendour In The Grass tonight, with what’s sure to be a pants-wettingly epic set on the main stage.
Clearly in a nostalgic mood, Flume took to Facebook to share a video of his first-ever set at Splendour, back in 2012, at the tender age of 21. In the accompanying post, he said:
The first time I went to Splendour in the Grass was in 2010. I was 19 and had never been to a camping festival before. In 2012 I played my first ever set at Splendour. The video below shows a little bit of that 2012 set. It was easily the biggest crowd I’d played to at the time… it was a really special moment and felt like a genuine turning point for me.
That first time as a punter in 2010, I watched The PIXIES close the main stage on the Sunday night. Can’t wait to play the same slot for you this weekend
Needless to say, the crowd will be somewhat larger tonight. Enjoy:
