The Vatican has forgiven The Beatles their sins, after Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano wrote an affectionate tribute to the band on the 40th Anniversary of the band’s break up.
The article said:
“It’s true, they took drugs; swept up by their success, they lived dissolute and uninhibited lives. They even said they were more famous than Jesus.
“But, listening to their songs, all of this seems distant and meaningless. Their beautiful melodies, which changed forever pop music and still give us emotions, live on like precious jewels.”
Yay. Not being able to admit you like The Beatles is a serious burden to bear – what a relief to be able to finally come clean.
Cue awkward silence.
