Last year TV On The Radio’s bearded black Jesus, Kyp Malone, released a solo album as Rain Machine, and the next TVOTR member to branch out on his own is founding member / producer extraordinaire Dave Sitek.
According to his myspace profile, Sitek will release his debut solo album in August of this year under the moniker Maximum Balloon. There’s no word as to whether Maximum Balloon has anything to do with Sitek’s rap mixtape collaboration with belligerent hip hop artist Raaaaaaaaandy (Aziz Ansari) that we’ve mentioned previously.
