Tomorrowland Festival Is Too Fire, 22,000 Punters Evacuated As Stage Burns

More than 22,000 punters have been evacuated from the Tomorrowland Unite festival in Barcelona, after the main stage proved to be too fire and literally caught ablaze.

Eyewitnesses that the witnessed an “explosion”, and a faulty pyrotechnic element has been blamed as the likely cause.

Videos and photos on social media show flames rapidly climbing the left-hand side of the stage as the fire spreads.

The director general of civil protection in the Catalonia region took to social media to say that 22,143 people had been evacuated, and fortunately there are no known reports of any injuries.

DJs Steve Aoki, Ingrosso and Afrojack were all set to perform at the event, an offshoot of the main Tomorrowland festival, which takes place in Belgium.

The blaze has since been extinguished, and festival organisers have since promised refunds to affected punters.
