The Wizards Behind The Iconic ‘Stranger Things’ Soundtrack Are Garn On Tour

Survive, the Austin band who composed the shockingly popular Stranger Things soundtrack, has become something of an overnight sensation thanks to the show. Seems weird that a little indie outfit pumping out 80s slasher film inspired synth tunes would get so much attention in the year of our Lord 2016, but there ya go.

They’ve just announced that they’re gonna be lugging their chunky analog synths on the road and embarking on a U.S. national tour, giving those fat retro tunes to anyone who will listen.
Survive has been pretty shocked with their success. “It was very immediate,” bandmember Kyle Dixon said in an interview with Independent. “I was camping the day the show came out, so I didn’t even have cell phone service–I was gone for the weekend. I came back home on Sunday, turned my phone back on and it was just chaos. I mean, really flattering chaos. But chaos nonetheless. I can’t turn off my phone now.”

Nice one. Maybe we’ll see ’em performing at the Opera House sometime. Seems like the venue for it. If you’re just coming to the world of retro horror soundtracks and you’re craving more of it, may I recommend some Goblin? Of course I can.
