Let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than going to a live show of a band you’ve loved forever prepped to hear your favourite tunes from an extensive back-catalogue of gold, only to discover the band in question chooses to indulge in experimental jams and new material. Imagine a Prince concert without “Purple Rain” and nothing but tracks from LOtUSFLOW3R? Clearly, in the spirit of giving fans what they REALLY want, you’ll have noticed an increasing trend for bands to tour their best-known albums: Pixies toured ‘Doolittle’, Public Enemy tour ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’ and of course yesterday we learned that Primal Scream will play ‘Screamadelica’ in full for Big Day Out. Today it was announced that another beloved Nineties band is getting on board: The Lemonheads are touring Australia this November and December to play their classic 1992 album It’s a Shame about Ray – along with a selection of other Lemonheads’ tunes.
