The official announcement of the 2016 Splendour In The Grass lineup is a mere 2 days away, and the full reveal is being kept covered up tighter than the lid on a pickle jar.
But since when has that stopped literally anyone with half a clue, a thirst for attention, and an internet connection from trying to jump the gun on anything?
A poster image doing the rounds of them internets today purportedly features the full “leaked” lineup of this year’s SITG, and by all accounts it looks like an absolute cracker.
The only problem is that it is absolutely, utterly, completely fake as all get up. Among the many indicators is the very much largely-defunct Channel V being listed as a presenting partner.
But that doesn’t make the fiction any less enjoyable. And all good lies are built on at least a small element of truth. So it’s not out of the realms of possibility that you’ll see at least a few of these names on the official lineup come Wednesday morning.
It’s a nice bloody thought, right? Sadly, it ain’t true.
