For their fourth Coachella, local legends Tame Impala wrapped up Day Two of the festival on the main stage and did not disappoint. From their massive set design to that extraordinary ring of lights – just watching it on YouTube on the other side of the world felt like a wild psychedelic dream.

The boys performed old and new songs including ‘Let It Happen’, ‘It’s Not Meant To Be’, and ‘Patience’. They also gifted fans a moving performance of ‘Eventually’ and the visuals during this song were especially beautiful.

The production, hands down, was just out of this world.

They also played ‘The Less I Know The Better’ and their new tune ‘Borderline’ which they officially released a couple of days ago. The lads first performed the song during their ‘Saturday Night Live’ debut a couple of weeks back.

For their last song, Tame Impala performed ‘New Person, Same Old Mistakes’ complete with another heap of confetti.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be up here, I’m so thankful for you guys watching. Thank you everyone who’s come with us up until this point,” Kevin Parker told the crowd before the finale.

On Twitter, the boys received a lot of love.

Earlier in the night, Billie Eilish made her Coachella debut. She opened her set with ‘bad guy’, followed by ‘my strange addiction’, ‘you should see me in a crown’, and a stunning performance of ‘idontwannabeyouanymore’.

Other tunes included ‘watch &burn’ with Vince Staples and of course ‘bury a friend’.

During ‘all the good girls go to hell’, Eilish forgot a couple of lyrics and simply replaced them with “Fuck, what the fuck are the words though.”

Before performing ‘when the party’s over’, Eilish took a moment to appreciate the now.

“We never think about what’s happening right now, I mean this is happening right now, this is crazy,” she said. “We and I are never going to be in this moment ever again, this exact moment right here, never again, this is the only chance to be in the moment so let’s be in the moment, yeah?”

She wrapped her set with ‘ocean eyes’ and ‘COPYCAT’.

“Before I go I just wanted to say this is crazy,” she told the crowd. She thanked everybody involved for making her dream come true, especially her brother and her fans. “Thank you guys most of all and most importantly. I used to sit in my room and cry because I wanted this shit so bad so thank you for making this happen.”
