Robyn, Our Heavenly Queen, Announces Release Date Of First Album In 8 Years

No more dancing on our own: Swedish singer Robyn has announced that upcoming album Honey, her first record in 8 years, will be released October 26th.

Speaking on the set of the album’s first music video, Robyn shared her excitement about the release. “It will be released on the 26th of October and I really can’t wait for you to hear it,” she shared via her Twitter.

“It’s a personal album, and there’s so many things that have happened throughout making it that it’s really just hard for me to explain it in one go. I think the best way is maybe for you to listen to it, but I’m so happy that it’s finally done.”

The upcoming album, which will include absolute bop “Missing U”, has been described by the singer-songwriter as “a very soft ecstasy”. “I danced a lot when I was making it,” she noted. “I found a sensuality and a softness that I don’t think I was able to use in the same way before. Everything just became softer.”

This will be her first album since 2010’s Body Talk, which included “Call Your Girlfriend”, “With Every Heartbeat” and “Dancing On My Own”.

Check out the announcement to her fans, and cry at Honey‘s very imminent release date, below.
