Watch: One-Hour Robyn Documentary

Even for a Swedish electro-pop robot the rise to the top isn’t always an easy one, and just as that Swedish robot – also known as Robyn – once sang: “I’ve got some news for you, Fembots have feelings too.” As testament to this, Sveriges Television, the public broadcasting network of Sweden will be airing an hour-long documentary on Robyn this month that openly reveals her own personal ups and downs in the struggle to simultaneously standout and remain true to yourself in the celebrity-driven world.

Covering everything from her first performances as a fresh-faced, scrunchy-wearing ingenue to the production of her fantastic, highly acclaimed 2010 album Body Talk, we are invited into Robyn’s manic world of demanding producers and managers, back-to-back gigs, important meetings and all the car rides, plane flights and attempts at catching some shut-eye that occurs in between. It really is an insightful documentary that reveals how at the end of the day, famous or not, we often all struggle with the same things – staying true to ourselves, reaching a state of self-acceptance and silencing any haters along the way. Have I been watching too much Dr Phil?

It’s a great behind-the-scenes look into the life of a cool, talented lady.
