As you will no doubt see on countless headlines, Lorde sung ‘I am Lorde ya ya ya’ and it was awesome! The best! et cetera. The South Park episode featuring The Artist Formerly Known As Randy As Lorde, by sheer virtue of making reference to Teen Mostly Likely To Get Clicks, was covered on definitely more than one website.
Since then an enterprising interviewer over at 3 News asked Ella about it, she responded saying that she “got off easy” and that after hearing about it her and her friends “went ‘Ya ya ya ya ya I’m Lorde! Ya ya ya!’ for like an hour.” Like so:
