PSY Releases ‘Gangnam Style’ Follow-up, ‘Gentleman’

Liam Gallagher’s favourite K-Pop internet sensation is back, with PSY’s Gentleman attracting 40 million views in its first 48 hrs. Roughly translated to “I’m a juvenile prick” (I assume), Gentleman sees PSY indulging in all manner of vintage schoolboy pranks including, but not limited to, facially directed flatulence, the chair pull and the cup slap. Good one, PSY!

Much like Gangnam, Gentleman sails deep into throbbing electro dance-pop waters, ensuring that this by-the-numbers follow-up, despite the initial buzz, is destined to flop in comparison to its predecessor but considering Gangnam Style was the biggest thing to hit the Internet in, like, ever, that hardly means anything. As with the clip, Gentleman never quite reaches the excessive heights of Gangnam, though it must certainly be in the running for second most ridiculous mass-choreographed K-Pop clip of all time.
