New Clips: Soundgarden, of Montreal

It’s queer that the Nineties are enjoying a revival only ten years after the decade finished. Weezer are taking their seminal 90s albums (the Blue album and Pinkerton) on tour and Blink 182 are headlining Big Day Out; flannel checked shirts, Dr Martin boots and cut off denim has made a comeback; Beverly Hills 90210 was remade; and the original Gen X poster girl Winona Ryder is making her (long overdue) return to the silver screen. This year PJ Harvey is dropping a new record, Saint Etienne have just announced their releasing reissues of influential albums Good Humor and Tales From Turnpike House, and Soundgarden got back together.

The Nineties is back. Don’t fight it.

Here’s a selection of new video clips kicking off with the new single from the freshly reformed Soundgarden. It sounds just like the old Soundgarden and the clip looks like second life Soundgarden.
