Modular’s Stephen Pavlovic To Curate Vivid Live 2011

Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Music, Fergus Linehan, has today unveiled that Modular Records head honcho Stephen “Pav” Pavlovic will curate Vivid Live in 2011. Pavlovic, who secured the first and only Australian Nirvana tour in the 90’s and popularized local acts such as The Avalanches, The Presets and Wolfmother ever since, supersedes 2010 curators Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson and 2009 curator Brian Eno.

Says Pav: “I am extremely honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to create an event in one of the world’s most iconic venues. It’s like I’ve been asked to prepare a 10 course degustation menu of music and art for what is clearly a Michelin starred restaurant”.

Pav’s lineup will be unveiled in March. Vivid Sydney takes place 27 May – 13 June.
