After inadvertently leaking the whole damn thing yesterday (sorry guys) Vivid LIVE have unveiled their official 2011 lineup at a media launch held this morning at the Sydney Opera House.
Vivid Sydney’s Executive Producer, Ignatius Jones was also on hand to demonstrate the awesome light shows that will take place around the city and on the Opera House sails. French art collective Superbien were handpicked by #swaglovic and will be custom designing 3D images to be mapped onto the sails. You should also get very excited about Crystal Ark, which will feature members of !!!, Hot Chip & LCD Soundsystem.
About half of our predictions came to fruition including 2manydjs, Architecture in Helsinki, Chris Cunningham, Bat For Lashes and OFWGKTA. Other highlights include The Avalanches (yay!) DJs (boo!), Spiritualized performing their seminal LP Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space in its entirety, heavy popsters Wu Lyf and kid’s troupe Yo Gabba Gabba. Should be a fantastic week, Sydney. Though we do fear for the structural integrity of the Opera House during and after the OFWGKTA show. The rest of the lineup is as follows…
