Musician Frank Iero, perhaps best known for his work as guitarist for My Chemical Romance, was involved in a major traffic accident in Sydney’s city centre this afternoon.
Channel 9 reports Iero, who is currently touring Australia with his band frnkiero andthe patience, was present when a public bus rammed into the back of the group’s tour van on Park Street around 4pm.
While Iero escaped injury, three people were injured in the accident. It is believed the van was parked in a bus lane at the time of the accident, and one witness described seeing a man being “collected” by the bus.
Metro Theatre and Live Nation informed ticketholders to tonight’s show that the performance has been cancelled.
