Mark Ronson Covers Tame Impala

Marking his second appearance on triple j’s Like A Version series (he performed Britney’s badass hit “Toxic” in 2008), UK DJ, guitarist and music producer Mark Ronson has offered up a fantastic cover of Tame Impala earworm “Solitude Is Bliss”.

Together with members of his band The Business Intl (including Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow and Rose Elinor Dougall of The Pipettes), Ronson deftly turned Bliss into a stripped-back space ballad with female vocals and thundering white noise.

In an accompanying interview with breakfast hosts Tom and Alex, Ronson professed his love for the band’s debut LP Innerspeaker: “Everything about it just spoke to me. Good songs, good melodies, great sounds”. Such is Ronson’s love, he also cast a vote for the band in 2010’s Hottest 100 poll. (He also voted for Arcade Fire. Oh, and himself).
