Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s ‘Daffodils’ Is A Song Of The Summer Contender

For his first album in four years, chameleonic musical polymath Mark Ronson has enlisted Tame Impala vocalist Kevin Parker to contribute vocals and instrumentation to three songs – one of which, ‘Daffodils’, is well worth your streaming it below.

American author Michael Chabon was also recruited by Ronson to write the lyrics for both ‘Daffodils’ and many of the other songs that’ll appear on Uptown Special, his Pulitzer-prize winning credentials evinced in lines like “Run your fingers down the cool underbelly of the blue evening/Crank that vapour-wagon, start that kick and dragon beating” – lines that wouldn’t sound out of place in an opium den, on the next Tame Impala album or in your car every day in the lead up to Summer alike.
Uptown Special comes out January 27th, 2015.
