In news that I didn’t know I needed until now, Lee Harding will be playing an INXS tribute show at Melbourne’s Bird’s Basement in December. Name a more iconic duo… I’ll be waiting for lifetimes.

“MYSTIFY: The Songbook of INXS”, which will be performed solely by Wasabi-man himself on December 4, takes inspiration from the 2019 Mystify: Michael Hutchence documentary. But don’t get it twisted – Harding’s long been a fan of Michael Hutchence and INXS. One might say you could never tear them apart? (Sorry, I’ll refrain.)
“There have been many rockstars who have influenced my life, but INXS, they changed my life,” Harding said, promoting the event.
“Putting this show together and performing the songbook of INXS from Mystify is my way of saying thank you to the man that changed me. I won’t be trying to mimic him by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been told we have similar traits both on and off the stage… I hope you enjoy what I bring to this to make a noise that will be heard all the way to the heavens and hope Michael will be smiling down on a legacy he began that never has and never will end.”
