Wanna meet Ol’ Gramps Followill? Then check out the newly released ‘Home Movies’ that the Kings have released ahead of their fourth album, Only By The Night.
“The band are unveiling one of the up-close-and-personal videos each day in the lead up to the release of their fourth album on September 22. Fly-on-the-wall footage includes insights into the new album sessions, the video shoot for recent single ‘Sex On Fire’ as well as a sing-along with the Followill brothers’ mother, and an introduction to Grandfather Leon.”
The first video is particularly hilarious for Caleb’s explanation of Sex On Fire, revealing that although “some people find the lyrics a bit corny, if you’ve ever had really good sex…[pause for effect] I don’t think it’s corny.”
I always just thought the song was about how he dipped his dick in gasoline. Oh well.
The videos are actually pretty good and offer an interesting look inside the Kings’ world, like in episode four when we learn about Nacho Followill’s stalker-sites. Check out the videos here.
