The Killers And The Vines Made Sweet Music Together In Sydney Last Night

Last night, The Killers played an electrifying show at Sydney‘s Qudos Bank Arena, then took things up a notch or two during their encore, when they brought Craig Nicholls of The Vines on stage to make all of your glamorous indie rock and roll dreams come true.

Killers front-man Brandon Flowers was effusive in his praise of the Aussie band, saying that they “paved the way for bands like us in the early 00s to make rock n roll.” They then smashed and bashed their way through a cover of The Vines’ ‘Get Free‘ together, and Nicholls also stuck around to join them for ‘When You Were Young‘.

You can see some videos of this team-up below, as your 2000s self cries tears of joy:

The Vines released their debut album Highly Evolved back in 2001, and since then, Nicholls has remained the only steady member of the band. Their seventh album In Miracle Land is forthcoming.
