Poor old mate Yeezy has had a rough time of it lately, but we suspect he’ll be fine. After departing from our fair continent, he and Kim stopped by Paris for Fashion Week, because they’re grown-ups who can do whatever they please. Frankly, unless you’re Anne Hathaway being viciously bullied by a sunglasses-wearing Meryl Streep, stopping by Paris for Fashion Week sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
That said, the pair’s visit to the continent has not passed entirely without incident. Earlier today, Just Jared posted a video of the performer being booed after showing up 40 minutes late to a Lanvin show. It seems his excuse was pretty solid – “Alber asked to see us!” he told the assembled press, referring to Alber Elbaz, the Israeli designer and creative director for Lanvin.
Was he really late to the show or not, and did Anna Wintour or Grace Coddington participate in the booing? Mankind may never the answer.
This turn of events is a good chance to remind everyone that Kanye might have some new music out quite soon. Pitchfork report that he recently held a private listening party for what many think might be a new album.
Theophilus London, who posted the below picture of himself hanging with Kanye at fashion week, said he remembers an event at which Kanye played his new album “3 times in a dark room of 20 people” while “moshing drunk with mad babes.”
West executive produced London’s upcoming album Vibes, and London claims that he may also be featured on Kanye’s forthcoming single, should this all pan out.
