Justice, Diplo, MGMT, M.I.A. Daft P unk Up For Grammys

Daft Punk, MGMT, Justice, Diplo – Looks like Hype Machine’s “most blogged artist” list doesn’t it? Well as a matter of fact all the aformentioned names can now call themselves Grammy Award nominees.

7 years later it seems as though Daft Punk are on the verge of receiving the recognition they deserve for their classic bouncy dance baby “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” All it took was for some black rapper dude to sample it and voila! The French robots have been nominated alongside Madonna, Hot Chip, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Australia’s Sam Sparro for this year’s “Best Dance Recording.” As well as BDR Daft Punk are also up for “Best Electronic Dance Album” for Alive 2007.

Our other favourite leather sporting French Duo are up for “Best Remixed Recording” for their rework of MGMT’s Electric Feel. However the nomination we’re most excited about is our boy Diplo being up for “Record of the Year Award” for his work twiddling nobs on M.I.A.’s Kala LP.
