Kele Okereke is releasing his second solo album, Trick, on October 13, and based on this brand new track released overnight, his new tunes are still very much in keeping with the club-friendly sound of his 2010 solo debut, The Boxer.
‘Coasting’ is frankly as smooth and sexy as hell, and we’re hoping another Australian solo tour isn’t too much to ask … summer festival season IS right around the corner and all.
As for what’s going on with Bloc Party, the ever-enigmatic Kele has said that while the band probably won’t be embarking on any kind of anniversary tour for their debut Silent Alarm, there are likely “more records” in their future.
