Harry Styles has just been announced to perform the 2017 ARIA Awards, fitting in with a nice ARIA tradition of tapping huge international acts for an Australian music awards show. (Hey, it works – we’re all interested.)
Just in case you’ve forgotten who or what Harry Styles is, here he is holding a puppy in his new music video for ‘Kiwi‘, which you should absolutely watch as soon as humanely possible.
The former One Directioner was already nominated for an ARIA under ‘best international artist’, in a category that includes Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, The Rolling Stones, Adele, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd.
Closer to home, A.B. Original, Amy Shark, Gang of Youths, Illy and Paul Kelly have all been nommed for the Apple Music Album of the Year, while elsewhere Meg Mac, DD Dumbo, Vance Joy, Peking Duk, Tash Sultana, Vera Blue, Sia, Dune Rats, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and a bunch more have all picked up a nomination in at least one category.
Harry will be performing at The Star Event Centre in Sydney on Tuesday 28th November, and we wouldn’t blame you for staking out your red carpet spot several hours beforehand. For everyone else: it’ll be broadcast on Nine. Not a bad way to watch if you missed out on his highly sought after tour tickets, tbh.
