Glam Rockers The Darkness Reform

Remember The Darkness – they were like a cross between Queen and Spinal Tap with a penchant for spandex onesies? They seemingly came out of nowhere, revived glam cock rock with a falsetto-heavy radio hit (“I Believe In A Thing Called Love”), played a shiteload of festivals, before falling off the radar as quickly as they’d appeared.

Just as the world had forgotten they had ever existed in the first place The Darkness are back. Apparently the band had originally split up because of a fall out between the founding members, brothers Dan and Justin Hawkins. The band have recently reunited and are said to be rehearsing in preparation for a reunion tour in 2011, so brush off that flared leather all-in-one you’ve been holding on to. Even though the music is completely over-the-top, balls out ridiculousness, thinking back they were an enjoyable guilty pleasure.
