Okay, so just a few comments on the Strokes’ video for “Under Cover Of Darkness”:
– It looks like a video an emo band would make. Visually it’s kind of reminiscent of that Panic! At The Disco clip and the indoors part of this 30 Seconds To Mars video. Did the same person who did those videos do this?
– Incidentally, the video is directed by Warren Fu. Warren Fu styles Julian and has also directed Strokes and Julian videos in the past.
– Julian is the star of this band – or maybe he’s just Warren Fu’s number one favourite person. Either way, Jules is very much presented as the Front Man in the clip.
– And look, Julian isn’t wearing his tight red jeans for the first time in about six years! Amazing.

Also noted is Julian’s mic stand throw – which he did exactly ten years ago in the video for Strokes single “Last Nite”. At that moment in “Under Cover Of Darkness” Julian sings the lyric everyone’s singing the same song for ten years. Meta.
