‘Every Time I Die’ Bassist Nearly Misses Set After Being Trapped In Dunny

Life can be pretty rough for a touring musician. Time spent away from loved ones, the mindless hours spent on the road, and the crushing pressure of performing night, after night, after night, can wear down even the most seasoned pros.

Then there’s the issue of faulty dunnies almost throwing off an entire gig.

Metalcore mainstays Every Time I Die very nearly had to perform yesterday’s gig in Los Angeles without bassist Steve Micchiche, after said four-stringer found himself on the wrong side of a faulty toilet door.

Because the internet is good, and ETID are even better, the band members not imprisoned in that lil’ cubicle took video of the ordeal in order to share it with us. Pals, it’s a fun watch.

After the band managed to extricate Micchiche, he took to Twitter to provide a bit of (literal) insider commentary.

For those wondering: no, it doesn’t appear his brief shitter imprisonment had a negative impact on the band’s performance.

They’re touring constantly until the end of November. That’s a lot of venues, and a lot of toilets, so we’re sending positive door-opening vibes to the v. good band.
