Korn’s 12 Y.O. Bassist Ripped His First Gig Like It Was A Year 6 Recital

When it was revealed the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo would be taking on the low-end duties for Korn’s South American tour, we sensed some adult metalheads worldwide would resent lil’ Tye.

There’s no way that opinion still stands, ’cause the nu-metal mainstays played their first gig with the slap-happy sprog, and even the most ardent of moshers would admit he absolutely crushed it.

Footage has emerged of the act’s show in Bogota, Colombia, and it’s replete with all of the sub-sonic growling you’ve come to expect from regular bassist Fieldy.

Tye even managed to partake in some dueling riffage with drummer Ray Luzier, featuring a schmick glow-in-the-dark arrangement.

He’ll stay with the act for the duration of their South American run, including shows in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. It’s not quite Open Mic Night at your local RSL, but hey.
