Duran Duran + Mark Ronson = James Bond

The last time I saw Simon Le Bon he was getting swamped by a shameless pack of ageing cougars at a V Festival after party in an undisclosed Sydney night club (Duran Duran had played hours before). My friends who were DJ-ing at the time put on “Hungry Like The Wolf” as he arrived and instead of embarrassment or humility (feigned or otherwise) the dude was straight up loving it. While “Hungry Like The Wolf” played we were again subjected to (for the second time that night) Simon Le Bon’s impersonation of a prowling wolf – which surely must be his power animal. It has been reported that super producer Mark Ronson (who according to my housemate is “hot”) and ageing 80’s rockers Duran Duran will collaborate on the theme for the new James Bond film “Quantum Of Solace”. “We’d love to collaborate with Mark on a single for the next Bond film,” said Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes.
