Sam Smith’s ‘Spectre’ Track Becomes First Bond #1, Tops Adele + Duran Duran

Sam Smith is on fiyahhhhhh.

The Brit‘s self-penned theme song for the much-hyped 007 film Spectre‘Writing’s On The Wall’, has topped the UK music charts – the only Bond theme song in history to do so.
Not even Adele‘s ripper ‘Skyfall’, for which she won an Oscar, hit #1 – it peaked at #2 in 2012, as did Duran Duran‘s ‘A View To A Kill’ in 1985.
‘Writing’s On The Wall’ has so far racked up combined physical and streaming sales of 70,000 copies, smashing its nearest rival (Justin Bieber‘s ‘What Do You Mean’) by a suitably impressive 13,000.
The music video for the track has just dropped too, offering little glimpses into the upcoming Daniel Craig fest.
Much brooding. Many excitement.
Spectre hits Aussie cinemas on November 12.
