Influential British radio DJ Zane Lowe has just interviewed the amazing DJ Shadow, whose cinematic instrumental hip hop and production style has made him a critical darling and gained him a massive following.
In the interview, Lowe asked Shadow about the possibility of a new album and this is what he said:
“I’m halfway done and I will be sharing music in the next few months.
“I want to make music I’m at peace with, and also that I think is a slight return… in the sense that I had a thread going with some of the records I was doing, – let me get back to that thread and see where that will take me. I do consider it a kind of return to form, but I definitely hope there’s nothing that sounds like anything I’ve done before.”
I just got a little shiver.
