When we first heard about a DJ Hero game we were doubtful it could be as intuitive or successful as its rawk-inspired older brother but upon watching the below promotional video with endorsements from Jay-Z, Eminem, Tony Hawk and DJ AM we might have to reconsider our stance.
The game looks kinda compelling and definitely fun though we’ll need to play it ourselves before we pass judgment (hint). Anyway anything that can help gamers pretend to be DJ’s who pretend to be Rock Stars who pretend to be Gods is healthy. It’s Tiesto stadium time in my bedroom!
In other Jigga related news ‘D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)’ a rough cut from his forthcoming Blueprint 3 has dropped and received tonnes of hype and discussion on the interwebs. Primarily because Hov attacks what he calls ring tone hip-hop (Soulja Boy this means you) or what we call lame ass auto-tune.
“This is anti-autotune, death of the ringtone. This ain’t for Itunes, this ain’t for sing-along” Spits Jigga before attacking Hipster Hop (shudder, sorry for using that term) “No lyin, your niggas’ jeans too tight. Your colors too bright, your voice too light”. Incidentally Kanye West is producing Blueprint 3 off the back of his all auto-tune 808’s And Heartbreaks and very colourful forays into fashion. The irony is not lost on us.
