Dizzee Rascal VS. Prince Harry

It’s seems quite fitting that Dizzee Rascal’s first album is entitled †Tongue N Cheek’ (out today), especially if you take a look at some of the Brit’s past interviews.

Never one to bite his tongue, Dizzee has come out with some rather cheeky comments in the past, most recently taking a bite out of Kate Moss when she continually interrupted his backstage interview at this year’s GQ awards.

Dizzee, it seems, keeps it real no matter who he’s talking to- even if they’re of royal blood.
At this year’s Hyde Park Wireless Festival, Prince Harry sent his people to request a meet and greet with the †Dance Wiv Me’ rapper, only to turn up pulling shadow-boxing moves and street handshakes (because Buckingham Palace is so ghetto).

What happened next makes me think Dizzee must of missed out on the Royal code of conduct.

“I never saw that one coming. Prince Harry came in and was joking around and being a bit cheeky, so I told him, ‘If you weren’t royalty I would’ve punched you in the face by now’, and he seemed to like that.”

Not too sure if †cracking skulls’ is up there between †do not address HRH unless spoken to’ and the †no touch’ rule.

One person Dizzee hasn’t got it in for is our own Silverchair front man, Daniel Johns.
Set to return to our shores for the Big Day Out tour next January, Dizzee hopes to shoot the breeze with Johns who he says is a character.
‘He’s cool, man. He’s such a character, he’s like Jack Sparrow. That’s what I used to call him.’

Daniel Johns and Dizzee Rascal- now that’s a collaboration I’d be interested in.

†Tongue N Cheek’ is out today and features hit singles †Dance Wiv Me’ and †Holiday’.
