Commemorative Joy Division Show Comes To Australia

Later this year Joy Division will tour Australia…sort of. I say sort of because in this particular context, Joy Division means founding member Peter Hook, a kick drum of nostalgia and live music’s most ambiguous billing, “and friends”. Hooky and co. (whoever they are) will grace our shores in September to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Joy Division’s debut album, Unknown Pleasure, which they will play in its entirety alongside non-album cuts like “Transmission” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart”.

Last month Hook paid tribute to the thirtieth anniversary of Ian Curtis’ death by staging a similar commemorative gig. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Friday 2nd July. Dates are as follows.
