Grab The Tissues ‘Cos Cher Just Released A Real Emotional ABBA Cover

Folks, we are just one week away from Cher‘s ABBA tribute album and to make these last few days a lot less shit, Cher has gifted us her emotional cover of ‘One of Us’.

One of Us, from ABBA’s final studio album The Visitors, is particularly dark as songwriters Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson were both going through their divorces at the time of writing.

In Mamma Mia! Here We Go AgainSophie (Amanda Seyfried) and Sky (Dominic Cooper) sing the song when they’re trying to navigate their way through a long distance relationship.

Cher has previously released ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’ and it’s an absolute dance banger but this, this is all Cher.

Goosebumps.

One of Us is one of ten songs on the tribute album titled Dancing Queen.

  1. Dancing Queen
  2. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)
  3. The Name Of The Game
  4. SOS
  5. Waterloo
  6. Mamma Mia
  7. Chiquitita
  8. Fernando
  9. The Winner Takes It All
  10. One Of Us

Dancing Queen is available for pre-order on Apple Music, the iTunes Store, and Google Play. You can also stream previously released singles on Spotify. The album, in all its glory, will finally be available September 28.

Earlier this week, Cher unleashed the music video for her cover of ‘SOS’ and it is elite. Directed by Jake Wilson, the music video features an all-female cast of different races and ages. Even though Cher doesn’t actually star in the music video, Australian artist Betty Who does alongside American actor Aimee Carrero, and Rumer Willis.

Meanwhile, Cher’s across the pond in New Zealand and will be in Australia come September 26. This will be the angel’s first Australian tour in 13 years with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth to name a few.

Unsurprisingly, a third Melbourne show has just been added for Saturday October 6 at Rod Laver Arena so if you missed out and are keen to go/fly interstate you can find our more via Ticketek, HERE
