Cher, goddess, has taken to Twitter to share the possibility of another ABBA tribute album.
In case ya missed it, the artist appeared right at the end of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again to blow us all away with her performance of ‘‘Fernando’. Honestly, I don’t remember half of that movie but I do remember ‘Fernando’ and it’s 100 per cent because goddamn Cher was singing it.
ANYWHOO, as a result of the cameo Cher gifted the world Dancing Queen – featuring ten songs by the Swedish pop group, revamped and given the ~Cher~ effect.
“Each song is its own special entity. Waterloo is homage to Benny and Björn… Many of them are my versions of their dreams,” the artist tweeted in the lead up to the album’s release.
On Dancing Queen we have:
- Dancing Queen
- Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)
- The Name Of The Game
- SOS
- Waterloo
- Mamma Mia
- Chiquitita
- Fernando
- The Winner Takes It All
- One Of Us
All bangers.
If we were to have an ABBA 2 album, here are the songs we’d be looking at.
