The producers of Gossip Girl not content with merely referencing Ryan McGinley, Secret Machines or Marc Jacobs have enlisted the help of some alternative celebrities to cameo in their latest episode. Despite their best efforts however, they’ll never surpass the Thurston Moore/Kim Gordon cameo in that other GG – Gilmore Girls a show which also holds the record for most pop culture references per minute. Seriously Lorelai and Rory Gilmore no one talks like that.
The episode will see Manhattan’s elite (Serena) throw a glam-tastic soiree attended by model Chanel Iman, DJ trio The Misshapes, celebrity photographer Patrick McMullan and Moldy Peaches frontman Adam Green. Yep I’m slightly confused by that last one too. Hopefully Chuck Bass hits on Leigh Lezark, gets denied, then pulls the “But I’m Chuck Bass” line while Adam Green does an impromptu performance of “Anyone Else But You” with Michael Cera.
