Bobbi Kristina Is “Fighting For Her Life” According To New Family Statement

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21-year-old daughter of the late music icon Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, remains in a critical condition and is now “fighting for her life” in a medically-induced coma after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday, according to a statement released by her family this morning.
The Brown family’s full statement [via The Guardian] reads:
“Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by her immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”
TMZ are also reporting that tests measuring her brain’s reaction to different stimuli were garnering “minimal responses”, which is being viewed as a slight improvement – enough to “delay any immediate discussion of turning off life support.” A family source has also told People that Brown’s current condition is “[Bobby Brown’s] worst nightmare. Losing Whitney was hard, but this is a million times worse, and to lose her in the same way would devastate him.”
A police report released yesterday reportedly offered little by way of explanation as to the circumstances leading up to the call to emergency services; the Roswell police have stated that a search warrant and the recording of the 911 call won’t be made public until investigation into the incident concludes.
