Queensland festival-goers will be pleased about the recently-announced Big Day Out 2014 venue, in all of its $144 million state of the art outdoor concert venue glory.
It’s called Metricon Stadium, and the surrounding Carrara precinct will also play host to the festival. Relocating from The Gold Coast Parklands, last year’s do attracted 45,000 patrons from Queensland and else, and a tidy $30 million for the local economy.
Big Day Out’s CEO Adam Zammit said: “Big Day Out founder Ken West, myself and our partners C3 Presents are very excited to be moving into a great new venue for 2014, a year which will see our biggest and best line-up in years.”
