Parklife Moves From Gold Coast to Brisbane

The Queensland leg of Parklife (Saturday 25th September) was originally announced that the Gold Coast Parklands would be the 2010 venue after being held at Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens & Riverstage for the previous years; Festival promoters Fuzzy have just announced the festival will be relocated back to Brisbane as infrastructure and operational issues were preventing organisers from delivering “a completely top class customer experience in September at the Parklands venue”.

It should be interesting to see how Queensland punters who’ve attended past events will feel about the move back to the Botanic Gardens, particularly after last year’s issue with stage access being shut off before headlining acts, crowd crush points from directional bottlenecks and hour-long long drink lines… That said, this year Fuzzy have reduced the maximum capacity numbers compared to previous years to ensure there’s more space.

Running times remain midday to 10pm and tickets purchased for the Gold Coast venue are valid without having to contact us or make any changes.

Parklife organisers released the following statement:
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the move causes to those who have bought tickets, so we will be providing a free shuttle bus to the Brisbane venue from Surfers Paradise. We have set up a dedicated email hotline for enquiries: Email parklifebrisbane@fuzzy.com.au for any queries about the event relocation or to register for the free shuttle bus to Brisbane from Surfers Paradise.
