Vincent Haycock directs the beautifully shot, narrative driven film clip for Florence + The Machine single “Lover To Lover”. Ben Mendelsohn, the fantastic Australian actor who is finally getting his due in Hollywood plays the clip’s the leading man opposite Florence Welch, whose on screen presence is so captivating we wouldn’t be surprised to see her first feature film appearance in 2013.
In fact, Welch was asked by Nowness.com (who premiered the clip) if she plans to take time off now, to which she replied: “I’m not going to tour for a year after this one. I’ve been doing it since I was 21 and I think it’s time really to settle into moving out of my mum’s! But I’m not going to stop writing. Playing live is my biggest passion, but I’ve got a lot of ideas, and I need the space to work on them.”
